Nuovo tab nel Play Store per la Google TV

Sono già passati due giorni per il Google I/O e non abbiamo ancora sentito qualche notizia rilevante per la Google TV.

Si sa soltanto che con l'arrivo dei nuovi tab nel Play Store i servizi Google si ampliano e sembrano progettati apposta per la Google TV.

In particolare il servizio Movies & TV offre il noleggio online di film e serie TV, i quali non solo potranno essere visualizzati sullo smartphone, tablet o nexus q, ma sarà possibile visualizzarli anche sulla smart TV di casa Google.

Purtroppo ancora una volta l'Italia è lasciata da parte, ma con l'annuncio di Sony di qualche giorno fa possiamo sperare che ben presto tutti i servizi Google verranno integrati anche da noi.

Nuove informazioni sulla Google TV

Ricordate il comunicato stampa di Sony che ci avvisava che la Google TV sarebbe presto arrivata in Europa?

Adesso anche la pagina ufficiale, dopo un rinnovo grafico, si aggiorna e ci offre una breve panoramica su cos'è, quali servizi offre e dove possiamo acquistarla questa Google TV.

In prima pagina troverete subito una breve descrizione di questo servizio, con le funzioni più importanti come navigazione internet tramite Chrome, video tramite Youtube e, ormai l'immancabile Play Store sul quale è stato creato un focus a parte al collegamento "What you can watch".

Se volete invece acquistarla basta andare sul collegamento "Where to get it", dove verrete subito indirizzati verso una pagina che, rilevando la vostra posizione geografica vi presenterà i prodotti disponibili, in questo caso soltanto il Buddy box.

Quanti di voi stanno già pensando di provare questo nuovo "servizio" che ci offre Google e magari acquistare subito il box Sony?

Sony NSZ-GS7: La Google TV Internazionale

Finalmente, dopo lunghe attese sta per essere lanciata in quasi tutto il mondo la Google TV, che fino ad oggi non ha varcato i confini americani.

Lo farà Sony che, con un comunicato stampa ci informa che i prodotti saranno due, più precisamente il modello Sony NSZ-GS7 che arriverà quest'estate ad un prezzo di circa 200€ e il modello Sony NSZ-GP9 (con Blu-ray integrato) che arriverà in ottobre ad un prezzo di circa 300€.

Per entrambi, la commercializzazione partirà dal Regno Unito per poi proseguire nei paesi: Australia, Brasile, Canada, Francia, Germania, Messico e Olanda (tra i quali purtroppo, non è compresa l'Italia).

The Internet Player that lets any TV become a Google TV

Sony Europe today announced the availability and pricing of the NSZ-GS7, Internet Player with Google TV, originally introduced in January at CES. Powered by the Google TV platform, the Internet Player will be available to buy in store from July, priced at £200/€200. Pre-orders begin in July online at www.sony-europe.com.

In 2010, Sony pioneered the internet-TV convergence as one of the first manufacturers to launch products powered by Google TV. With the new Internet Player with Google TV, Sony will also be the first manufacturer to launch Google TV products outside of the United States, initially starting with the United Kingdom in July, followed later by Canada, Australia, France, Germany and Netherlands, Brazil and Mexico. The NSZ-GP9 Blu-ray Disc player with Google TV will be available in October initially in the United States, followed by Canada, Australia, the United Kingdom, France, Germany, and Netherlands.

In addition to the NSZ-GS7 Internet Player, Sony's newest Internet Blu-ray Disc™ player with Google TV, the NSZ-GP9, will be available in October priced at £280/€300.
